A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after his car collided with a telegraph pole in Herefordshire on Saturday.
The 22-year-old was a front seat passenger of a blue Peugeot 307 that hit the pole on the A4103 at Crew’s Pitch, just before Newtown crossroads, at around 1.20am.
He received multiple fractures to the skull and was taken to Hereford County Hospital before being transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
A 19-year-old female rear seat passenger sustained minor injuries.
All the emergency services attended and the road was closed for several hours.
