A £1,000 bounty is up-for-grabs after vandals targeted cars in Hereford streets over the Easter weekend.
The owner of one of the vandalized cars is offering the money for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the culprit.
Justin Lavender is offering the reward after £500 worth of damage was caused to his car, which he does not wish to identify, overnight on Friday April 10 and Saturday April 11.
“The damage is quite phenomenal,” said Mr Lavender. “Some cars have scratches with words written. They have scratched the word ‘vandalized’ into one car and ‘banana’ into another The interesting thing is that the person responsible could spell.”
The police say 25 parked vehicles in and around Chandos Street and Scudamore Street were damaged causing thousands of pounds of damage.
PC John Westlake, from the Three Elms and St Nicholas local policing team, said: "To do so many vehicles will have taken some time and we hope that someone saw something.
“Our team has put leaflets through the letterboxes of houses in the locality to try and identify a witness to this damage. We will also being paying close attention to the area."
