VILLAGE LOTTERY – Last week’s £25 winner was John Warby with number 21. This week, Roger Thrupp won £25 with number three.

MOBILE LIBRARY – The mobile library’s next visit will be on Wednesday, April 29.

POLICE – The only reported crime was on March 10, in the Kenchester area, when building equipment was stolen. Police are advising us to “Nip Garden Crime in the Bud” and make sure that expensive garden machinery and tools are not kept in easy-to-enter wooden sheds. PARISH COUNCIL – The next meeting will take place on Thursday, May 7, in the Portway Inn Hotel at 7.30pm. New councillors to represent Bishopstone and Byford are required and notices are posted on the relevant notice boards.
