NOW in their 34th season with their founder/director Pamela White, the Britten Singers will be giving a concert on April 25 at St John’s Methodist church.

Their programme for this concert will be as wide-ranging as ever and there can be few groups who have a repertoire encompassing music from the 16th to the 20th centuries which also includes music commissioned for the group. For their spring concert they will be performing music by both English and Italian madrigal composers, two pieces by Saint-Saens, a group by Durufle, and a selection of British folk song arrangements. The main work will be Salve Regina by Haydn, a three-movement piece with string and organ accompaniment.

Proceeds will be divided between two charities, the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.

Tickets are available from the Outback, Church Street, Hereford, from members or on the door. For further information, contact Sue Conridge on 01432 269818.
