A HEREFORDSHIRE man is aiming to smash his previous best time when he runs in his third marathon.
Tom Hall, aged 32, from Checkley, is hoping to finish in a time of two hours, 45 minutes – beating his previous best of just under three hours.
“The training has gone really well and I haven’t been injured yet, touch wood,” he said.
“I have run it twice before in 2006 and 2004, so am hopeful of beating my previous best.”
Mr Hall is training to be a PE teacher at a secondary school in Uxbridge.
He is running the London Marathon in aid of the Alzheimer’s Research Trust.
“Both my grandparents had Alzheimer’s, so funding money for the charity and raising awareness is my main motivation for taking part,” he said.
“Alzheimer’s affects a huge amount of people in the UK so any donations would be really welcome.” Mr Hall is hoping to raise £1,500. Sponsor him at justgiving.com/tomhall2.
