A BROMYARD woman has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Highwell House Care Home brought out the bubbly and birthday cake for Lilian Kershaw last month.
Lilian was born in Birmingham in 1908 and often volunteered at the city’s YMCA.
A fan of the great outdoors, she and her husband Alan rode a tandem from Dudley to Aberystwyth every summer and loved boating on the Midland waterways.
The pair moved to Bromyard in the early 1990s and her husband died three years ago, shortly after his 100th birthday.
About 30 people attended her birthday party last month, where she opened a birthday card from the Queen.
