PARISHIONERS past and present made a pilgrimage from St Frances of Rome Church, Ross-on-Wye, to the Holy Land.
Members met with others from Shipley, Portishead and Ireland to make the once-in-a-lifetime trip to Israel. Starting in Nazareth, they went on to Bethlehem, Galilee and the Mount of Beatitudes.
A model of Jerusalem as it was in Jesus’ day was seen and all received communion inside the tomb of Christ.
Bill Harris, who flew out with the group, said: “It has taken a few days to reconnect with our old lives and we are all still on a high from our incredible visit.”
