The man who helped form the Tenant Farmers Association in the UK has died at the age of 88.
Bernard Marshall, who lived near Reading was the association’s first director general and was described as one of its first leading forces when it was formed in 1981.
He was a senior civil servant with the former Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, helped create the TFA then became a research fellow at the Centre for Agricultural Strategy at the University of Reading.
