A WOMAN stole £250 from a Leominster businessman while suffering from pre-natal depression, a court heard.
Charlotte Mills, aged 21, was pregnant when she tried to cash Jonathan Rudge’s cheques at Cash Generator and the Money Shop in Hereford.
Mills, of Etnam Street, Leominster, filled one out for £250 and others for £872 in January but only the first went through after staff in both shops and at Lloyds TSB, where her bank account was, became suspicious. Defending, Neil Coulson told Hereford magistrates it was an impulsive decision after Ms Mills met Mr Rudge at his business, Elm Computer Systems.
He said having given birth, she was being treated for post-natal depression.
Prosecuting, Gemma Goode said Mills, who pleaded guilty to five charges, had an account with Cash Generator. Magistrates delayed sentencing until later this month.
