DETECTIVES have confirmed that they are investigating reports of an armed robbery in Herefordshire.
The robbery, as reported, saw an isolated farmhouse in Upper Sapey raided by several people using a white Mercedes Sprinter van at 1.45pm on Wednesday April 8.
A number of personal items were taken, but no one was injured.
DCI Dave Llewellin of Hereford CID said: “This type of incident is extremely rare in Herefordshire and we are treating it with the utmost importance.
"I would confirm that this is not connected with the recent robbery of a business premises in Kingsland."
Anyone who may have seen the white van before or after the incident is asked to call DC Beth Wells at Hereford CID on 0300 333 3000 or crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
