QUIZ – The last quiz night of the season was held last Friday and finished as a very close-run contest right up to the penultimate round when the Coven-no-hopers were leading the Yatton Hillbillies by half a point. After the last round, the Hillbillies had drawn level and, for the first time ever, the evening finished with a sudden-death play off for first place. The Coven-nohopers fell at the last hurdle. Even with the late re-enforcement of “Kiwi”, the Upstarts failed to avoid winning the hotly contested booby prize. All members of the seven teams taking part enjoyed a really good evening and will be eagerly awaiting the start of next season’s quiz nights in September.
