CHURCHES TOGETHER IN ROSS-ON-WYE AND DISTRICT – Over the Easter period, Christians in the town celebrated the festival in various ways within their own churches.

On Easter Saturday, they came together in a common act of witness by setting up banners outside the empty Woolworths store. Between 10am and 3pm, members of the various churches handed out leaflets which explained the meaning of Easter to those passing by. People were invited to chat over tea or coffee in the Baptist Church Hall.

Ross-on-Wye SINGING WORKSHOP – On Saturday, May 9, in John Kyrle High School, there will be an opportunity to take part in a one-day workshop with the Border Marches Early Music Form. This workshop will enable people to sing renaissance period music in small ensembles. It will be helpful to have at least a moderate sight-reading ability, but the emphasis of the day will be on music making. For an application form, call Hannah Davies on 01432 341154 or visit BMEMF website and download one.
