HE busy schedule of Hereford’s Junior Mayor shows no sign of slowing down with more dates in the diary.
Jane Farmer has helped the city’s Mayor and Mayoress make the Easter egg draw at the Buttermarket.
The draw was made in front of Len Tawn, chair of the Buttermarket Independent Traders’ Association. The traders were delighted to see the Junior Mayor there as the draw is aimed at young people.
Miss Farmer has also taken an active interest in raising money for the Mayor’s charity, St Michael’s Hospice, and has a number of fundraising events planned.
She has already raised hundreds of pounds, visited the hospice and organised a ‘wear what you like day’ at her school. A tea party at the Mayor’s parlour is planned to thank her fellow pupils and she is hoping someone from the hospice will talk to them.
