A HEREFORDSHIRE firefighter has taken part in a trek across the Great Wall of China for charity.
Kevin Giles, who works as a retained firefighter in Peterchurch, joined two colleagues from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity, which supports injured firefighters. Mr Giles was joined by Mark Forsbrook from Malvern Fire Station and Dave Smith, the regional fund-raising co-ordinator for the charity.
All three raised £8,000 to take part in the trek through villages, up mountains and along rivers and would like to thank the communities and businesses who sponsored them.
