THOSE living in the Bromyard district will have a chance to help develop a plan for the future of the town and nearby villages.
A committee of community representatives and town councillors has been working to prepare the Bromyard Market Town Plan.
This will set out what Bromyard residents want in the future and influence the decisions of Herefordshire Council, the primary care trust, the West Midlands regional council and other influential bodies when the town council and community groups ask for help in developing the area.
A series of public meetings, “Planning for Real” events and focus group consultations have already been held in the town at schools and the youth club, which have provided suggestions and opinions about future planning. The next stage will be to send a questionnaire based on these results to every home in Bromyard.
After the responses are analysed the Bromyard Plan will be published, based closely on what the people of Bromyard and the surrounding area want.
Families and individuals of all ages will be asked to make their contributions to the final plan.
