COUNTY schoolchildren have taken part in a poster competition to portray the message to eat well, move more and live longer.
Primary schools were invited to take part in the contest and more than 60 entries were received.
The event was organised by Herefordshire Council’s healthy schools team to promote the national Change4Life programme, aimed at educating children about healthy eating.
Councillor Jenny Hyde, who presented prizes to the winners, said: “Keeping our children safe and healthy is everyone’s responsibility and launching a poster competition has proved to be an excellent tool for promoting healthy lifestyle choices and stimulating discussions in the classroom.”
