Knighton Primary School has got lots of new gardening equipment from the Morrison’s Lets Grow Scheme.
The school received one hoe, one rake, two small watering cans, two medium watering cans, two hand trowels, two forks, one widget and dibber set, a pack of 75 plant rings, four junior forks, four junior spades and one cold frame greenhouse.
The Let's Grow Scheme aims to help schools capture the imagination of the nation’s children and show them that food doesn’t just come from supermarkets. By participating and collecting vouchers, family and friends will be enabling children to get their hands dirty for good reason by giving them the opportunity to grow their own food in the school grounds. Headteacher, Joan Wheeler thanked all those who gave vouchers to the school.
