This year’s annual Teme Valley Vintage Club tractor run took place last weekend. The event started with members holding a minute’s silence in memory of Clem Davies, a supporter of the event for many years. More than 90 tractors took part in the event, starting from Benson’s yard in Knighton. They travelled along country lanes and tracks on the Shropshire side of the valley during the morning and stopped for lunch at the Lloyney Inn. Then, after several more miles, they finished back in Knighton at about 4pm. Before the start, a cup was presented to Tim Corbett for best turned out tractor. The cup was presented by Pat Biggs in memory of her husband, John, a former club member. The judges were John Frank, Richard Ward and Simon Pattrick, all from McConnell, John’s former employers.
