MULTIPLE sclerosis sufferers will benefit from a Herefordshire pub’s festival, with donations made in memory of a former regular.
Donations from the beer and cider festival held at the Three Horseshoes Inn, in Allensmore, will aid the Herefordshire branch of the MS Society with donations being made in memory of Pauline Clark.
Mrs Clark, who was diagnosed with MS in 1990, died in January and pub regulars will have the chance to help other sufferers at the festival on Sunday and Monday.
“It turned out to be secondary progressive MS, which meant initially she was wheelchair bound. Luckily, we were able to adapt our beautiful bungalow to do our best for her,” said her husband Barry Clark, a member of the society.
The couple moved to the county from Pershore in Worcestershire seven years ago.
Mrs Clark had previously taught music at Alice Ottley School in Worcester and loved her life in Herefordshire.
“She was much loved locally. We used to walk to the Three Horse Shoes with the wheelchair as it’s only 400 yards away,” said Mr Clark.
Mr Clark has organised flags, bunting and T-shirts for the event. Donations from the festival will also be made to junior football clubs in the Golden Valley.
