A KINGTON town centre pub is on the market again for the second time in just over a year after its owner had an offer he was unable to refuse.
Vendors of The Ewe and Lamb, on the market for £215,000, said owner John Wilkins had been offered an engineering job and as such was selling the High Street hostelry just 12 months after he bought it.
Mr Wilkins completely refurbished the three storey, Grade II listed building after moving in last April despite its previous owners claiming the smoking ban and rising living costs had placed it under threat.
Nicholas Calfe, from licensed property agent Christie and Co, said it was an “outstanding opportunity” for a front of house and catering partnership to grow the business.
“The food operation is beginning to gain a good reputation locally and is ready to take advantage of the spring and summer tourist trade,” he said.
