CHORAL MUSIC AT ST BRIDGET’S CHURCH SKENFRITH – The Heritage Singers from Yorkshire present a spring feast of choral music from the last 500 years on Saturday, May 23, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5, including refreshments, and are available either on the door or by phone on 01600 750438 or 750283.
CROSS ASH WI AGM – The AGM is to be held at Cross Ash Hall on Wednesday, May 13, at 7pm.
BLUEBELLS AND BATS – The woods around Skenfrith are blue with the drifts of bluebells and the pipistrelle bats are out in their hundreds at dusk in and around the castle, particularly enjoying the many insects where Blackbrook flows into the River Monnow.
SKENFRITH COMMUNITY SHOP – The shop was very busy over the bank holiday weekend, even with the poor weather. As always, the shop offers refreshments, home-made cakes and produce and crafts to the many visitors to the castle and river on weekends from noon to 6pm.
YOGA ON THURSDAYS – Yoga classes are held every Thursday in Skenfrith Village Hall from 6pm to 7.30pm. £5 a session. Call Lisa Wise on 01600 750586.
