THE Presteigne Fun Day on Sunday enjoyed sunshine, large crowds and the Barking Mad Fun Dog Show, which is now a regular feature of the event. It attracted a record entry of almost 40 dogs of varying shapes and sizes, taking part in 12 classes throughout the afternoon.
This year’s best in show was local terrier Frank, with young handler Georgia Whiffen, who proudly walked away with the Barking Mad trophy, the best in show rosette and various prizes.
Runner-up (and the dog the judges most wanted to take home) was Logan the Irish setter, also from Presteigne, with his owner and handler Ann Perkins.
Doggie prizes and biscuit bags were kindly donated by Annie’s Pet Supplies, of Presteigne, and the dog show was organised by Terry and Christine Wells, of Barking Mad, with assistance from Sandra and Carol.
