GWENT Chamber Orchestra will return to St Michael and All Angels in Cwmdu on Saturday with a lively and varied programme of music.
Under conductor David Gedge and leader John Roberts, the concert will include the Oboe Concerto in A Minor by Vaughan Williams, Serenade for Strings by Dvorak and Handel’s Concerto Grosso.
Appearing with the orchestra will be oboe player Ruth Watson, who performed at St Michael’s two years ago, and bass Nicholas Gedge, who will once again join the orchestra for the evening. Tickets are available from Abergavenny Music; A-Frame (4 The Bulwark, Brecon); Crickhowell Resource and Information Centre; Bowie Gallery (Hay-on-Wye) and from members of the PCC.

The orchestra appears free of charge and the event is sponsored by Williams Coaches (Brecon) Ltd, with all proceeds going to church funds.
