MORE than 150 artists are getting together at Malvern Theatres for a charity gala in aid of Worcester-based Leukaemia CARE, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Singers, dancers, comedians, musicians and actors hope to raise thousands of pounds for the charity when they take part in the event on Sunday, May 10 It is being organised under the banner of the National Operatic and Dramatic Society (NODA) and everyone, from performers to backstage workers and the administration team, are giving their services free.
Among the acts will be members of Worcester Gilbert and Sullivan Society with excerpts from The Mikado; dancers from Harlequin Stage School, semi-finalists in the Britain’s Got Talent contest; Midland Musical Theatre Group singers and dancers; the singing group Colla Voce; Worcester’s Got Talent winner pianist Graham Irving; Great Witley Operatic Society with songs from hit musical Les Miserables; Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society with excerpts from the musical Little Shop Of Horrors; Malvern Theatre Players with a comic look at The Last Supper; and a performance by Kays Theatre Group.
