A MAN in his 30s suffered up to 25 per cent burns to his body in an industrial accident in Hereford this afternoon.

He was taken to Hereford County Hospital with burns to his abdomen, chest and arms, and other injuries to his abdomen after paramedics were called to Special Metals Wiggin just after 1pm.

Another man was also being treated at the hospital after he suffered a serious hand injury.

Both were described by ambulance staff as being in a stable condition and “conscious and breathing”.

A BASICS doctor and two ambulances were called to the site to deal with a case of entrapment at the site off Holmer Road.
