A LEOMINSTER exchange system that uses an artificial currency has been transferred to its Hereford equivalent.
The accounts that made up Leominster LETS (Local Exchange Trading Scheme) have been transferred to the Wye Exchange in Hereford after a drop-off in trade.
LETS has operated in north Herefordshire using a currency called Luggs, which have now been transferred into Wyes.
Les Hardy, LETS co-ordinator, said: “LETS is a system where people do jobs for each other but no actual sterling is passed on. The system operates on reciprocal services but the Leominster one just started fading over the last few years.”
Anyone with questions can call Melodie Winch, Hereford co-ordinator, on 01432 850647.
