PLANS to build 13 homes near Sainsbury’s supermarket in Hereford have been turned down.
Scanmerge Ltd wanted to demolish commercial buildings at Barton Sidings to make room for the two and three-bedroom houses and 19 car parking spaces.
But councillors opposed the plans, as there was no open space for children to play in the area.
“If you have 13 properties with two or three bedrooms, there would be an average of 26 children,”
said Councillor Mark Hubbard. “But there is no outdoor space, so where will they go?”
