SALES of Valentine’s Day-inspired crisps have helped to raise more than £6,000 for a Herefordshire charity.
Herefordshire crisp producer Tyrrells, based at Stretford Bridge near Leominster, has released the seasonal Strawberry Sweet Chilli and White Wine flavour potato chips since 2005, with 10 per cent of sales going to Breast Cancer Haven.
This year’s donation of £2,400 means the total given to the St Owen Street charity is now more than £6,000.
The romantically themed “Lovely Chips” featured Breast Cancer Haven stickers on the packaging.
Haven manager Frankie Devereux said: “We are so grateful to Tyrrells for all their support.
“The Lovely Chips are a great idea and the money raised will help us to continue offering free support, information and complementary therapies to anyone affected by breast cancer in the Herefordshire area.”
The charity also has centres in London and Leeds.
