AN aptly named rose is the latest creation to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice.
The rose, called Precious Time, will raise funds for the Herefordshire charity and will be introduced at the Malvern Spring Gardening Show by TV celebrity and antiques expert Kate Bliss.
Ms Bliss, who is a loyal supporter of the hospice, said: “I know from personal experience that St Michael’s can transform the last weeks of a loved one’s life and bring dignity to their final days. The money raised by sales of this beautiful rose will help immensely.”
The rose is a dark red hybrid tea variety that reaches about one metre in height and has deep burgundy blooms.
Cheshire company C and K Jones has developed it and a donation to St Michael’s Hospice will be made from every sale.
The show takes place until Sunday.
