WORKING DAY – Following the cancellation of Brimfield vintage working day in September last year, Brimfield Vintage Club is holding an event on Sunday. Starting at 10am, a David Brown-themed road run will commemorate 70 years of the VAK1.
The David Browns will be at the front of the road run and any other make of tractor can join on behind if they wish to take part. The run will be starting from The Parks at Woofferton, just off the A49, and the trip travels through the three counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire.
The run will finish at about 12.30pm, giving all contributors a break for lunch.
Then at 1.30pm, anyone who has brought a tractor for either the run or just for part of a static display will be given the chance to pull the sledge for the tractor-pulling event back at The Parks.
Other events will include a county tractor crossing the lake, stationary engines and static displays. The event is in aid of Cancer Research with donations from the road run and the rest of the day going towards this very worthy charity.
