ALL THE FUN AT THE FAIR – The chamber of trade would like to thank everybody involved in making this year’s fun day such a success. Even during the economic climate at the moment, the traders of Presteigne were extremely generous in their contributions and donations. A great day was had by all. There was lots of cheering and encouragement for the tug of war, which was won by last year’s champions, the Castle of Knucklas. The dog show was again very popular, with 34 entrants giving the judges a hard task in choosing the best dog in the show. This year, the winner was Georgia Whiffen with her dog Frank, with Anne Perkins and Logan winning the category of dog the judges would most like to take home. Thanks also must go to Dale and Ashley for organising and running the junior football events which entertained everyone throughout the weekend.
