FIRMS on the Welsh border are being warned not to advertise with a bogus magazine publisher.
Police in Powys have issued the warning after businesses were approached by a publication claiming to promote police community safety officers in the area.
“Dyfed Powys Police are not publishing a community magazine, and are not asking local businesses to advertise,” assistant chief constable Nick Ingram said.
“We would warn local businesses against agreeing to place an advert in the publication – the company has not been commissioned by the force to sell any advertising on their behalf,” he said.
Anyone concerned should call non-emergency number 101.
