A MULTI-million pound water works scheme has just got underway in Herefordshire.
Work in the Putson and Moreton on Lugg areas started this week, with an upgrade of 10km of water mains in Putson and about 2.5km of water mains in Moreton on Lugg and Marden.
It is part of a £7.5 million investment by Welsh Water, which will include further works between Twyford Common and Woolhope later this month.
“The company will lay 20km of new water main and once complete, all schemes will ensure that customers continue to receive a top quality and reliable supply of water direct to our customers’ taps,” said press officer Nicola Roberts.
Anyone with questions about the scheme can visit Holme Lacy Village Hall today between 5pm and 7pm.
All of the works are due to be completed by the beginning of next year.
