A MAN called “Totty” has bared his chest to raise funds for a Midlands charity.
Customers at the Grape Vaults in Leominster raised £672 after a drinker had his back waxed for Midlands Air Ambulance.
The 43-year-old regular, known only as Totty, went through the hair-raising experience outside the Broad Street pub.
Puzzled shoppers watched as beauty therapist, Maria Franzen, carried out the routine on May 3.
Julie Saxon, landlord, said Mr Totty volunteered to raise money after losing his shirt in a party a few weeks earlier.
“His back was a bit hairy, but he volunteered to do it,” she said. “He was scared at the start because the women told him it would hurt, but it was all quite fun.”
The pub raised the money through collections and a prize draw and donated the money this week.
