LEOMINSTER MP Bill Wiggin says constituents can tackle him head-on over his expenses and he’s set a special meeting for them to do it.
Mr Wiggin told the Hereford Times he is confident his claims can stand up to such scrutiny. Neither he nor Hereford MP Paul Keetch have featured in the ongoing revelations over parliamentary expenses.
This week, both MPs committed themselves to putting full breakdowns of their expenses over 2007/2008 online soon and they also intend to publish all their future claims on a monthby- month basis or the closest practical alternative.
But in making such commitments, both stipulate they will not compromise any duty of confidentiality they have towards their staff.
