A MAN died following an accident near Ross-on-Wye on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to Bishopswood at 1.50am.
Dr Malcolm Russell, from Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) said: "A car with two men in it had left the road, rolled down a field, coming to rest approximately 30 metres from the road.
"The passenger was out of the vehicle.
"He was anaesthetised at the scene and given oxygen.
"Resuscitation attempts were carried out for some time and continued upon arrival at hospital.
"Unfortunately, the patient died as a result of of his injuries in hospital.
"The car driver, a man believed to be in his 20's, was cut free from the car by fire crews, working closely with the ambulance service.
"He had a suspected head injury and was taken to Hereford County Hospital."
