A WEST Midlands MEP has today taken her campaign for re-election to the streets of Hereford.
Liberal Democrat Liz Lynne was accompanied by Sarah Carr, her party's parliamentary candidate for Hereford, on the tour of the city where she met voters to discuss her work in the European Parliament.
This included being at the forefront of a campaign against electronic sheep tagging proposals that would decimate Herefordshire's sheep farming industry.
Commenting on the up- coming elections Liz said: "The Liberal Democrats believe that the UK is stronger working with our European partners than being outside not being able to influence legislation made at the EU level.
"We believe that laws should be made at the most local level possible, but there are some areas in which we can only achieve results when the whole of Europe works together.
"The LibDems want to work at EU level to help tackle climate change, cross- border crime, the financial crisis and anti- discrimination."
