A TEENAGER is missing in the River Wye after disappearing last night.
A search to find the 17-year-old is continuing after he had got into difficulties and disappeared at Bredwardine.
Search and rescue teams, dogs teams and the Air Unit have been supporting the search which started after emergency services heard of the disappearance at around 5.45pm last night.
Sgt Tony Jones, of Hereford police, said: “The Police have concerns with the hot spell we are experiencing and the temptation to swim in local rivers.
“They can be deceptive and have strong currents where the strongest swimmer can be overcome.”
