POSTAL voters have been told their decision will stick, despite a problem with ballot envelopes.
About 17,000 people in Herefordshire are using a postal ballot in the Euro Elections today (Thursday).
Five local candidates are among 71 hopefuls from 12 parties chasing the West Midlands seats in the European Parliament.
But there’s security concerns amid some postal voters, as the strip on some ballot envelopes does not stick.
Ballot papers go inside the envelope, which is put into another and sent to the council.
John Burnett, Herefordshire Council press officer, said it would not affect votes.
“As this envelope is inserted into another which seals correctly and is secure, we are confident there is no security risk.”
