BLINDand partially sighted students at a Hereford college are set to benefit aftermore than £7,000 was raised during a golf day.
Around 150 people attended the Leominster Golf Club event, which collected funds for the college’s Building Brighter Futures appeal.
One of the holes saw competitors tee-off blindfolded.
Themoney raised will be used to improve facilities at the Venns Lane-based college.
The day also featured a quiz and auction, withmore than 50 organisations donating prizes.
Heidi Macdougall, fundraising manager at the college, said: “We were delighted with the response to this year’s golf day, with 30 teams entering and every hole sponsored.”
