BROMYARD youngsters have taken to the streets to promote their part in a major festival.
Youth club members have “Labelled” the town centre in an art project for the Hereford Photography Festival.
International artists, Jaime Jackson and Carl Beebee, encouraged youngsters to create their own slogans, challenging the media. The slogans have been turned into t-shirts, banners and photos, and will appear around the town until June 20.
The first slogans appeared last Thursday (May 28) while other images went on show at a launch party the following evening.
Carl Beebee applauded the results, and said the slogans would be clearly visible.
”Young people are often unfairly treated by the press and this project was their opportunity to create something positive,” he said.
The project coincides with “Bromyard Forever”, a photographic celebration of town centre traders on show at Hereford Cathedral.
