OPEN GARDENS – This year, Eardisland Open Gardens will be on show on June 13 and 14 from 11am until 5pm. Tickets, refreshments and car parking at the village hall. Entrance £4, accompanied children go free. Proceeds will go to St Mary’s Church.
DUCK RACES – There will be duck races on the millstream in the centre of the village on Sunday, June 14, at 2.30pm. Proceeds to the village hall fund SUMMER BARBECUE – Please book in advance for a summer barbecue to be held at Hardwick House on August 29.

BOWLS – Eardisland gained its second victory of the season on Wednesday evening, holding off a determined challenge from the visiting Kington side.
The home team appeared comfortable at midway, building a commanding lead, but Kington began to find the right green in the second half and had Eardisland hanging on for a narrow 73 shots to 67 win. The rinks were shared two apiece, with best rink being skip Stan Hall with Dave Bray, Derek Bray and Phil Lynn.
