CRICKET CLUB – Is holding a memorial quiz night on Sunday, June 21, at 7.30pm to remember their loyal friend Derek Cresswell who sadly passed away last year. Proceeds of the quiz will go to the Royal British Legion as Derek was an active supporter.

DONKEY DERBY – A donkey derby is being held at Kington Football Club on Friday, June 12, from 5pm to 8pm. It will consist of seven races with four donkey carts running in each race.
Adults will be able to place bets on the races and cheer their donkeys over the finishing line. Local businesses have kindly sponsored the race programme and each race. Jockeys will be people who have paid to own, name and ride a donkey. Please note that the derby is run under very strict RSPCA rules and is run by an established company. The derby will be preceeded by a summer fair at 3.30pm (also at at Kington Football Club).
KINGTON FESTIVAL – In the run-up to the Kington Festival (from June 11 to 21) the Kington Marines Twinning Association is holding a car treasure hunt. The event will take place on June 11, and will start from Kingtons Mill Street car park at 6.30pm. Come along and travel your local countryside roads and test your powers of observation.
