THE Air Ambulance has just celebrated its 18th birthday.
Volunteers, fund-raisers and supporters celebrated with a meal at the Radnorshire Arms, Presteigne.
At the event was Rachel Harvey, who has been a volunteer coordinator since it was first launched.
In that time, Rachel has collected thousands of pounds from local fund-raisers. She has, for the last 16 years, run the Knighton charity shop which, for the last nine years, has been at Whitehall, Knighton thanks to the generosity of Ruby and Roy Delves of Tuffins who have given the charity the premises free of charge.
Ruby and Roy were among the guests at the meal. Many of the shop’s volunteers attended the event and some of the people who had raised funds for the charity in the last few years.
