FOOTBALL CLUB – The next 100 Club draw will be in The Royal Oak on Friday, June 26, at 9pm.
MUSIC – Michael Chapman will be playing at The Dukes Arms on Thursday, June 11, from 8.30pm.

OPEN GARDEN – For the first time in 10 years, Kinsham is opening its gardens to the public on Sunday, June 14, from 2pm to 6pm. Admission will be £4 (children free) by ticket available at each garden. Cream teas will be served and also plants will be for sale. The gardens are of varying styles. FLOWER ARRANGING – The next meeting of Presteigne and Norton Borders Floral Arts Society is on Wednesday, June 10, at The Memorial Hall at 7.30pm. This month, Susan Tudge will be taking a flower arranging demonstration entitled Seasons Creations.
AGM – The football club is holding its AGM in the clubhouse on Wednesday, June 24, at 7.30pm.
TALK – Peter Murray OBE, the founding director of The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, will be taking a talk entitled Art and Land: The Space Below at The Sidney Nolan Trust at The Rodd on Friday, June 19, at 6.30pm. Admission will be £5, which will include refreshments.
MUSIC – The Llanfair Singers with Graham Trew and Richard Lewis will be performing at Cascob church on Saturday at 7pm. Tickets are £7.50 which includes a glass of wine and a slice of fruit cake.
SUNDAY LUNCH – The annual Lingen Church Sunday lunch will take place Sunday in Lingen Village Hall from 12.30pm onwards. After lunch will be the treasure hunt and open gardens walk at Damson Cottage by kind permission of Pete and Gilly Lloyd. For details call 267314 or 01568 708090.
ARTS AND CRAFT – The monthly arts and craft fair takes place on Saturday at the Assembly Rooms from 9.30am. On Sunday, June 14, the peg loom weaving class will take place from 10am to 4pm.
VINTAGE SHOW – The annual Presteigne and Norton vintage and motorcycle show will take place on Sunday, June 14, at Wentes Meadow from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
COUNCIL MEETING – The next meeting of Presteigne and Norton Town Council will be on Wednesday, June 17, at 7.30pm, at the Shire Hall.
BOOK SALE AND COFFEE MORNING – There is a grand book sale and coffee morning at The Drill Hall in Hereford Street on Saturday from 10.30am to celebrate volunteers week.
PUBLIC EXHIBITION – There is a public exhibition at the Memorial Hall on Saturday from 10am to 4pm. It is an opportunity for you to view the proposals and to leave your comments so please attend if you want a say in the Memorial Hall’s future.
The exhibition will then be on show at the library from June 9 to 13.
TABLE SALE – There is a table sale in aid of Presteigne and Norton Twinning Association at 6 Broad Street on Saturday, June 13, from 10am. To book a pitch call 260695.
OPEN GARDENS – The Walled gardens at Knill are open on Sunday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm. Admission is £3 for adults with children free.
COACH TRIP – The Evergreen Club is organising a coach trip to Aberystwyth on Wednesday, June 17, leaving Presteigne at 9.15am. To book a seat call Pat on 260823.
NORTON GARDENS – Many of the gardens in Norton will be open to the public on Saturday, June 13, from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Admission is £5 which will include morning coffee or afternoon tea. Tickets are available on the day from participating gardens.
GLOUCESTER – There are still a few seats available on the coach trip to historical Gloucester next Wednesday, June 10. To book, call 260820.
DRAW – The winner of the spring draw organised by the football club was £50 Daisy Tyler.
GARDENS – The gardens at 7 Hereford Street will be open on Saturday, June 13, from 11am to 4pm. Admission is £1 all the proceeds going to The Welsh and Midland Air Ambulances.
AGM AND STRAWBERRY TEA – Presteigne and Norton Community Support and Volunteer Bureau is holding its AGM at the Memorial Hall on Thursday, June 18, at 2pm, followed by a free strawberry tea for everyone who attends.

KINSHAM FETE – This year’s annual Kinsham fete is on Saturday, June 20, at Kinsham Court by kind permission of Susan and Anthony Wood, from 2.30pm. The usual grand raffle will have a first prize of £100. Entry is £1 with children under 12 free.
TREASURER REQUIRED – The community support requires a volunteer treasurer to manage all financial systems, including salaries and PAYE.
