SCARECROW WALK – To be held on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4pm. Last year the theme of the event was famous films and this year, the theme is Trivial Pursuit. Villagers have signed up to enter their scarecrows in the festival with participants at the event paying £2.50 per entry to guess the theme of each scarecrow and vote for their favourite.
The event will centralise at Sutton St Nicholas School, where tickets and programmes can be bought. There will also be the opportunity to buy tea, cakes, beer, cider and there will be a large barbecue.
Event organiser Sam Cargill said: “We had so much positive feedback after last year that we have now decided to make this an annual event. It brings the whole village together. Whether young or old, there is something for everyone and we welcome all visitors not just the people of Sutton.”
