KINGTON Show organisers have issued further calls for support after releasing the 2009 livestock schedule.
Secretary Clare Edwards said the show society was “very keen” to break the record for entries following recent problems, adding: “Last year was a huge disappointment, having to cancel the show due to a waterlogged showground and atrocious weather.”
In response new Pony Club classes are to be introduced at this year’s event, which takes place at The Ovals Farm on September 12, alongside new Berrichon and Badger Faced classes in the sheep section and two new cups for poultry classes.
Entries close on August 18 with schedules and trade stand applications available from Clare Edwards on 01544 260602 and at www.kingtonshow.co.uk
Dog show schedules are also available from Jenny Dennis on 01544 230223 and horticultural and domestic schedules from Anne Preece on 01544 327539.
