A HEREFORD man has celebrated a landmark birthday by raising money for a county charity.
Phil Collins celebrated his 60th birthday by collecting £1,600 for the Little Princess Trust.
The Hereford-based charity provides hairpieces and wigs for children who have suffered hair loss through cancer treatment.
Phil also raised £800 for the County Air Ambulance.
Meanwhile, a gardeners’ question time to be held in Hereford tomorrow evening (Friday) will also raise funds for the Little Princess Trust. Expert Reg Moule will be at Wyevale Garden Centre to answer questions from green-fingered enthusiasts.
The event, which begins at 7pm, will also raise money for bereavement support charity the Noah’s Ark Trust.
Tickets, which include refreshments and a raffle, are £20.
They are available from either the garden centre, Elizabeth Collins at Noah’s Ark on 01432 264555 or Tracey Prosser at tracey@ littleprincesses.org.uk.
