AN Indian taster day was held at Picklenash School in Newent, with dancing and dressing up both on the menu.
Women from the Indian community in Gloucestershire visited the school on Wednesday to teach Year 4 children all about Diwali dancing.
Several youngsters were chosen to try out traditional Indian costumes, such as the sari.
The pupils also had a go at painting Indian designs on themselves using henna.
In the afternoon, the children tried out their cooking skills by making some mouth-watering Indian dishes.
