Dymock Parish Council has been updated on plans for major road works in the village.
The biggest scheme is the replacement of Elmbridge, on the road out to Ryton. The road will be closed for six weeks from Monday, August 8.
Access for pedestrians, horse-riders and cyclists will be maintained by a temporary footbridge.
Prior to that, there will be repairs on the diversion route, the B4216, including long-awaited work to rectify accident damage on Long Bridge. Gloucestershire County Council says the intention is to keep the road open and use traffic lights, which are already in operation.
